Ode to the Dutch Waters

Acrobatic Walk Act with odes to the audience and the sea.
Captain and Sailor clamber through the streets with high level acrobatics in search of the horizon and beyond. Short snippets of text blow in the wind. Sometimes it sounds like poetry and other times it sounds urgent like a command. The ship’s whistle keeps things on track where necessary.
We perform all kinds of stunts ourselves and then challenge our audience to participate. Anyone who wants can join in with spectaculair tricks or choose a theme for the next Ode to the Dutch Waters. From great hights and in all kinds of impressive forms, acrobatic poems pass by when we begin our odes to the audience and the sea.
And on goes our tour. Sometimes investigating, sometimes inviting, sometimes flowing through the streets. But always interactive, unexpected and cheerful.

Stilts on Starboard
Nautical Stilts act
A Captain and a Sailor take stock during their tour on their gigantic sea legs.
The Captain likes to inspect the public and the Sailor keeps a close eye on wether the landlubbers are already dry.
Where necessary, things (or passers-by) are immediately put in motion, because there is always challenging work to be done on board and there is plenty of salty water.
And fortunately, anyone who wants can join them for a crash cours in lifesaving swimming.
If everything is save, they wish everyone a save journey. After a quick “FAREWELL!” they continue their tour in search of another adventure.
Duration 3×30 of 2×50 minutes within 4 hours
Reception at business events
As colorful stilt walkers, our Captain and Sailor form a beautiful duo for a striking reception at company parties or business events.
They can also use their ship’s whistle to ensure that parking cars do not run into problems.
If desired, we can combine the reception with an acrobatic walk act later in the day. In addition to stunt work by the Captain and the Sailor, the public is recruited for all kinds of physical challenges. Although safety comes first in this challenging ship program.
